East Coast Yoga

Hi, I’m Irene Epsley from East Coast Yoga and I am delighted to offer Hatha Yoga classes at both The Bacchus Hotel in Sutton on Sea and the Seascape Café at the North Sea Observatory. Yoga is steeped in history and is a tradition that seeks to achieve harmony and balance in the mind, body and spirit. Each class combines Hatha Yoga with elements of Pranayama (the practice of breath regulation) and Meditation.

Through the movement a class will help promote an improvement in suppleness and strength. It will also help to dispel stress and also increase resistance to stress; it lays the base for a more restful and complete sleep pattern, itself essential for daily restoring of nearly all body functions, both mental and physical. In summary Yoga is a massive aid to our physical and mental wellbeing.

“Irene not only has a great sense of humour, but she is also compassionate and inspiring helping you to feel grounded in your mindset”

Who is yoga good for?

It’s good for old and young people alike, fit or unfit, yoga is for every body. You don’t have to be flexible or able to stand on your head to try yoga. As long as we have breath in our lungs there is some yoga you can do and benefit greatly from.

Yoga is “wellbeing” at it’s very best.

“I feel uplifted after attending one of Irene’s sessions, even after the worst of days and I am achieving my goal of maintaining my flexibility and balance into my sixties”
