Volunteer

Volunteering in Sport and Physical Activity can be a very rewarding experience. Without volunteers, much community sport couldn’t take place, and volunteers are crucial to sport at all levels.

Research has shown that giving up your time to volunteer can benefit your health, reduce stress, build confidence and improve your skills. It is also a great way to meet new people, and to support and feel connected to your local community.

You don’t need to give up a huge amount of time or have any formal qualifications to volunteer in sports and physical activity.

Volunteering can be a great way to develop new skills which could help lead to new employment opportunities. You might also have existing skills – such as marketing or fundraising experience – which you would like to share to give back to a local sports club, or your local community.

Why not contact a local sports club or parkrun to find out if they need volunteers, or take a look at the links below to find suitable opportunities. Lincolnshire Co-op Wellbeing Walks also often need walk leaders.
