Big news for Lincolnshire!
The Lloyds Tour of Britain Men 2026 is coming to our county, with the first two stages taking place right here on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 September 2026.
The cycle race will kick off with a start and finish in Lincoln on Wednesday 2 September, followed by a second stage from Boston to Skegness on Thursday 3 September – bringing some of the world’s best cyclists to our roads.
But this isn’t just about watching elite athletes pass by.
It’s a chance for all of us to feel inspired and get involved in our own way.
Whether it’s:
- getting back on a bike
- going for a walk with friends or family
- trying something new in your local area
- or simply finding small ways to be more active day to day
This moment is about celebrating movement in all its forms.
At Let’s Move Lincolnshire, we want to use the excitement of the Tour to help more people feel confident, supported and inspired to be active – whatever that looks like for you.
Emma Tatlow, CEO of Active Lincolnshire, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted that Lincolnshire will host two stages of the Lloyds Tour of Britain. This is a fantastic opportunity not only to showcase our county, but to inspire more people to get active. At Active Lincolnshire, we’re committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent people from being physically active – whether that’s access, confidence or inequality, and this event gives us a powerful platform to work with partners to reach communities across the county. We hope it will spark lasting change, helping more people discover the benefits of movement for their health and wellbeing.”
Over the coming months, there’ll be lots of ways to get involved across Lincolnshire, with local opportunities to help you get moving, try something new and feel part of the action.
So whether you’re cheering from the roadside or taking your first steps towards being more active, this is your moment to be part of something special.
Keep an eye out for ways to get involved near you.
