Success at World Championships for Lincolnshire Tae Kwon Do Club

North Hykeham Tae Kwon Do Club had great success the World Tae Kwon Do Championship in July taking home two gold medals. The club also won 5 other silver and bronze medals at the event which saw 3000 competitors from over 20 countries compete over 3 days at the Coventry Skydome.

Connor Clay won gold in the boys green belt sparring

Six students from the club attended the event; Connor Clay won gold in the boys green belt sparring, as well as bronze in the patterns competition. Jack Taylor won gold in the black belt team pattern competition, he also came 4th in the patterns. Thomas Blenkin won a bronze in both the patterns and sparring. Joe Horton took silver in the patterns and bronze in sparring

Mick Horton came 4th in the patterns. Omar Sherif put in a great effort but didn’t medal.

It really was a great effort for all our competitors – the group sizes were massive. We are a small club who punches above its weight! Students of all levels and abilities are welcomed.
