Try Something New! Play Airsoft in Lincolnshire

If you’re looking for an outdoor activity but are craving something different, airsoft is a great way to get out and have some fun!

Airsoft is an active, combat-style sport similar to paintball but with a more militaristic twist. Instead of large paint guns, airsoft uses Realistic Imitation Firearms, or “RIFs” to shoot small plastic ball bearings. These “bb’s” are considered by most to be less painful and more affordable than paintballs.

Airsoft is an engaging and fulfilling sport! It encourages teamwork and communication, helping players form meaningful relationships and promoting outdoor exercise. With so many different playing styles and roles, it’s suitable for almost anyone regardless of fitness level. You choose if you run or walk, dive over a log or slip behind a wall.

More About Airsoft

On a normal day, players split into teams and are given a series of “game modes” or objectives to complete. Teams are picked on the day, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t know anyone else when you arrive, you’ll soon be playing alongside like-minded people and working towards your objective together.

The games take place in either rural or urban environments which adds a little variety to play. Whether you like to take a back seat with a long-range kit, or push yourself and get your heart rate and adrenaline going, you can join in as much or as little as you like.

Making Airsoft Accessible for All

Although airsoft has been in the UK for a number of years, there are still vast improvements being made. The sport is constantly evolving to become more accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds. As such, local clubs, including those in Lincolnshire, make great efforts to support the future development of the sport.

For example, Lincolnshire Airsoft Club offer all new players aged 9-13 years old a free day of play and all the necessary equipment. This is so that they can try it out with minimal cost to parents and guardians – all they need to have is the appropriate clothing; a long-sleeved top, full-length trousers and supportive footwear.
