Easter is a great time for families to spend time together, enjoy the outdoors and help children stay active.
With longer days and warmer weather, it’s the perfect time to plan outdoor adventures. This could be anything from a couple of hours at your local park to a day out exploring Lincolnshire’s green spaces and countryside. Easy ideas like nature walks, Easter egg hunts and outdoor games are great for keeping younger children engaged, active and entertained.
Across Lincolnshire, there are plenty of free and low-cost activities and events on offer too, making it easy to have fun and create lasting memories without spending a lot. Active Holiday clubs are another great option to keep children active, allowing them to learn new skills and make new friends.
From Easter trails and family fun days to holiday clubs – we’ve gathered together some events and activities to make the most of the Easter break.

Across Lincolnshire, there are hundreds of holiday clubs offering:
- Sports and physical activities
- Arts, crafts, and games
- Trips and outdoor experiences
- Free healthy meals
These sessions are completely free for children receiving benefits-related free school meals and are designed to keep young people active and engaged during the holidays.
Even if you’re not eligible, some providers offer paid places at low cost, depending on availability.

Get active at home
You don’t need organised events to stay active. Simple, low-cost ideas at home can be just as effective:
- Set up an Easter egg hunt in your garden or local park
- Try family fitness challenges or mini sports days
- Get creative with Easter crafts and active games
- Build dens, obstacle courses, or scavenger trails
These activities encourage movement, creativity, and quality time together — all without spending money.
